1.2. The first evangelism.
Possibility has appeared with John Huzer's arrival in 1992. Why not earlier? Perestroika has begun in 1985, real freedom of church was found later by 5-7 years. Besides, it was necessary to wake up and correct lamps. “Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps” (Mat. 25, 7). It is necessary to add that our churches at that time had no carrying out experience of evangelism. From here followed that practically all evangelism those years were spent with participation of the American brothers.
So, on November, 2nd, 1992 group of evangelists of V.Volochok together with John Huzer have arrived to us to a city for carrying out evangelism.
It was very blest evangelism. It proceeded within three days. The hall has been jam-packed, people stood even in pass. In reply to an appeal to leave to repent, there were tens, and even hundreds people. The literature considerable quantity has been presented by all interested person. Thirst of the Word Divine was great. Subsequently any evangelism did not differ similar quantity of people. Those differed of year display of the strongest spiritual hunger. Thank God that the Lord has induced hearts of brothers not to be silent in so convenient for evangelism the moment. In some days after that actions there was a possibility to gather in school №1. Brothers Gennady and Leonid from V.Volochok came for meeting carrying out. Together with them there came their wives participating in song service. It was already possible to speak about church of believing people. Not without reason date of carrying out of this evangelism is church birthday.
